Aw Tee HongAw Tee Hong is a Professor at Nanyang Academy of Fine Art, and his biography may be found here. He was born in 1932 in China and is a graduate of NAFA. An excerpt regarding his public artworks: His achievements include the breathtaking and eye-catching sculptures that are prominently located in the heart of the financial district in Singapore including the two sculptures, "Pioneering Spirit" and "Struggle for Survival" outside the Raffles Place MRT; "Dancer" which is located at the public square outside the Ministry of Community Development; "In Safe Hands" (bronze sculpture) installed at the entrance of the Singapore Civil Defence Academy; "Mother and Child" commissioned by the Kandang Kerbau Hospital for its new premises; "Epic of Singapore" (polymarble mural inside the Tanjong Pagar MRT Station, "Singapore Culture" found inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium and "Mosaic Designs" which are 100 ft long are also mounted permanently on the walls of a school.
