Originally stood in front of the Town Hall, later Victoria Memorial Hall. Singapore was the first foreign country visited by a Siamese King. Was it moved in 1919 when Raffles was put in place? or earlier?
Similar one sits in front of the National Museum, Jakarta, which is called 'museum gajah'
