Asian Public Art News
Art and similar interventions in public space. Coverage moves outwards from Singapore through Asia to the rest of the world. Like nothing else, the idea of "public art" exposes the contradiction inherent in our ideas of "the public" and of "art".

Wales Assembly - too much art?
See this article in the BBC on Welsh Conservative leader Nick Bourne's criticism of public art for the new Assembly. 300,000 pounds sterling. There's not quite enough info in the article to really give us a sense of the work, but at a minimum they look like they are well-integrated into the architecture.
